I have been winning bids for 15 years, starting out as a Bid Writer, growing a team of bid winning professionals and leading a bids and marketing team in the senior leadership of a £45M UK environmental consultancy business before moving to a freelance bid consultant role. 

Driven by making a positive impact on the world, I hold a Master of Arts in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh and have completed the Business Sustainability Management Course at the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership. I also hold APMP UK (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) foundation level, Carbon Literacy and won Strategic Proposals Rising Stars award that recognised 30 outstanding individuals in bid and proposal management.

I thrive on seeing the sustainable growth that can be brought into a business from strategically winning bids. I believe the secret to winning bids is in the alchemy of combining the diligence of research and planning with the creativity and spark to find the right solutions for your clients based on what makes your business unique. 

I hold exceptional people, change management and communication skills with a passion for compelling and persuasive writing and design work. I live with my husband and dog in Scotland. When I’m not writing for work, you’ll find me reading and writing for pleasure, exploring wild spaces and nature with my family, or volunteering for projects that make a positive impact in my local community.
